Straight from the 1950s, “Greasers’ were a blue-collar youth subculture also known as gangs and hoods. Their name was inspired from the greased back hairdos they wore which were combed back and styled with wax or pomade. Stereotypically, you might see a greaser working as a mechanic at gas stations or car repair shops.
