Due to the children’s television shows “Bozo’s Circus”, “Bozo’s Big Top” made popular in the 1950s and 1960s, the lead character Bozo has become the most recognizable clown in American history.  With his trademark blue clown jumpsuit, white face and red toupee, Bozo has become the standard for which all other clowns are modeled.  Bozo the Clown, played by Larry Harmon, continued on with other television shows into the 1990s and died in 2008 at the age of 83.
