“Creature from the Black Lagoon” is a 1954 horror film that was release in 3-D.  A classic of the 1950s horror genre, this flick spawned two additional movies  called ‘Revenge of the Creature” and  “The Creature Walks Among Us”. The plot of the original movie takes place during a geology expedition in the Amazon. Digging up evidence of a link between land and sea animals, the researchers later happen upon a mysterious killing at base camp that unbeknownst to them was committed by a living version of the fossil they just uncovered. As the plot goes on, they come face to face with the creature, who is also called the “gill-man” who is eventually shot, stabbed and stumbles back out into the black lagoon leaving the door open for the sequels.
